    They were known for long battery life -- since only the elements
    changing need power, and only while changing, it would make sense that
    battery life would be good.

    True enough.. e-paper is a different beast than LCD/LED displays.

    Regarding the basic watch models, not sure if "always-on e-paper screen" is good idea if it needs to update every minute whether you are looking at it o

    My OG Pebble lasted a week on a charge. The new ones are supposed to last almost a month.
